Simulating UNder ice Shelf Extreme Topography (SUNSET)
Terraces, channels and other topographic features have been found on the underside of rapidly melting Antarctic ice shelves. This study aims to investigate the effects of these features on melt rates and currents below the ice shelves.
Boundary Layer Turbulence and Abyssal Recipes (BLT)
This field campaign aimed to assess the role of turbulent mixing in the ocean’s bottom boundary layer in driving the upwelling limb of the meridional overturning circulation.
FLow Encountering Abrupt Topography (FLEAT)
This research project focused on the effects of bathymetry on the transfer of energy and momentum from large scale currents in the north equatorial Pacific.
